Monate Casting Directors & Services are Talent Loving Casting Directors, founded in 2019, with studios in Jo’burg and Cape Town, South Africa and the experience, resources and network to cast in Europe (incl. The UK), Australia & New Zealand as well as the USA via Spotlight and Casting Networks. We cast talent for film, television, commercials, theatre, voice and corporate projects for the local and international markets.
We pride ourselves in providing our clients with effortless casting and talent who are just right. Our process is simple, yet effective: we do not rest until our client is 100% satisfied. This has led us on traditional studio and street-casting journeys into retirement villages, high schools, township, rollerskating clubs, chef schools, community theatre groups and beyond. Our solution is one of the most comprehensive and includes bidding-support (talent budgets and presentations) through to talent booking & contracting.
Monate Casting Directors are 100% black and female owned and boast level 1 BEE contribution status.
But we’re not just about scorecards – our team cover an array of skill sets with years of industry experience, meaning we’ll provide a tailored approach to execute your project requirements. Monate Casting Directors does not own or operate an agency – if you are a professional and trained actor looking for representation, please look at agencies who are members of The PMA (mostly Johannesburg) or SAPAMA (mostly Cape Town). For model agencies, visit NAMA for a countrywide list. We advise all those looking for representation to do their research and meet with at least two – three agents before making an informed decision! And remember, no reputable agency will charge a “registration fee” nor will they promise to get you onto TV; agents can only get you in the door for auditions and castings, it is up to you to work on your craft in order to book work!
